2. Intro to Open Education

Open education can take several forms. Paul Stacey (2018) imagined open education as a growing tree from which major established and growing components of the open landscape hang, including:

Open Source Software and Open Source Hardware;
Open Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums;
Open Science;
Open Access;
Open Data;
Open Government;
Open Policy, and finally;
Open Educational Resources.
